Break Outs

Hey everyone,

Quick tip. If you are having a face breakout, than take some water and pour some salt in it. Shake it up/ mix it up really well, and apply it with a cloth all over the acne. I do not know how it works, but it seems to really help. Make sure to wash it off about 2 hours later.

Hope this helps you all!

Eye Primer

Hey ladies,

Quick post on how to make your own eye primer. You take some body butter, foundation, and petroleom jelly (vaseline) and mix them together. Test it out on your hand first to make sure you do not have too much foundation in the mixture. It makes the perfect formula for homemade eye primer. A great way to save some money!

Bauty Gift Guides

Hey beauties,

Have you ever been asked what you want for a present and haven't known, or asked a friend and they didn't know? This is a few questions you could ask them/ yourself to get their mind thinking in present mode.

  1. If you could have any nail polish brand/color what would it be?
  2. If you could win a gift card to any store what store would you enjoy it being from the most?
  3. If you could have any brand of clothing or shoes, what brand would you pick?
  4. If you could have any accessory what would you choose?
  5. Do you like scarves? If so, do you like the patterned ones, plain ones more?
  6. If you could have any type of shoe (heels, flats, sandals,.....) what would you pick?
  7. Would you rather have a purse or a hat?
  8. What is your fave makeup brand?
  9. What is your favorite kind of candy?
  10. What is your favorite lotion/perfume/sanitizer scent?

I great idea is to take a sanitizer, lotion, perfume (in their fave scent), accessory, makeup brand cosmetic, and some candy and make a fun gift basket! You can decorate it  with their favorite colored ribbon and pack it in a fun purse, or basket. This is a gift that I know I would love receiving and I know a lot of other girls would too!

Hope this helps you all! Let me know what you would answer to number 4 in the comments below.

Bye Bye Dry Lips

Got dry lips? No problem, here is a few simple ways to get rid of them.

As a victim of dry lips myself, I have been searching for ways to get rid of them. Nobody likes having dry lips, so why should we have to deal with it? There are so many different ways to help, but the hard part is trying to find one that works best for you.

Cure #1

Mix sugar with olive oil. You can use brown sugar or regular white sugar. Let it sit until it gets to a gritty consistency. Apply an even layer using a brush or finger, and let sit for 1  to 2 minutes. Once the 2 minutes are up take an old toothbrush and rub your lips with the gritty mixture. Finish off with your favorite chapstick or gloss.

This cure helps brush off all of the dead skin flakes leaving a smooth surface. Make sure not to lick your lips, because the result leaves your lips feeling drier than before.

Cure #2

Maybe you are more of a honey girl. This cure follows the same steps as the first one but just uses different ingredients.

Mix some honey, olive oil, and a teaspoon of baking soda. This time your recipe will form a thick foamy paste. Follow the same steps above for application and rules.

Cure #3

If you do not want to bother with making a formula, than this will be the easiest for you. The time for the curing will take a little longer, but will leave you with a satisfying result.

All you need to do is pick out a good chapstick and apply it whenever you feel the urge to lick your lips. Easy is it not? Also, apply it every morning when you get up and right before you crawl into bed for the night.

I recommend not using Vaseline or Petroleum jelly, because these products contain petroleum, a.k.a gasoline. Whenever you lick your lips while this product has been applied, you are swallowing gasoline. This can cause cancer or other diseases.

Cure #4

Invest in a nice exfoliator or lip smoother cream. Follow the instructions on the back of the package/ container. I like Mary Kay's, Any brand will work though.

I hope this helps you all with your dry lips. I personally despise them and love each and everyone of these cures.

What's in?

Hey everyone,

Have you been wondering what styles are in and what styles are not? Here are a few items that I have noticed that have come in style for this season.

  1. hipsters: The small purses with long straps are extremely in right now. Get them in all different colors. Neon pink and yellow are really cute colors to get them in.
  2. V necks: As you may have noticed I have been mentioning these in a ton of my posts recently. JCPenney had them for $6.00 a while ago.
  3. Sandals: All different colors are great! You can wear these with almost anything.
  4. Floral Skirts/Dresses: Patterned skirts and dresses are really in right now. (The longer dresses are a little more in than the shorter ones.)
Hope this helps you all!

Quick Tip

Next time you are out looking for a crew neck, a t-shirt, or a V neck, try to find one that isn't too tight or too loose. I find that this flatters your figure even more. Never get a top that is too tight or too loose. It will be so much more comfortable if they are in between.

Wardrobe Must Haves

Hey girls,

This is a quick post on the few items I think every girl should have in her wardrobe.

  1. Crew necks/ V necks: These are great for layering and by themselves. Multiple colors are needed.
  2. Shorts: A shorter pair and a longer pair. Jean pairs are the most useful for many outfits.
  3. Skirts: A more casual one and a more dressy one.
  4. Pants: blue jeans, black pair, khaki pair.
  5. Jacket: Any color will do.
  6. Dress: Dressy and Casual dress. One for any occasion.
  7. Scarves: A warm one and a fun dressy one.
  8. Cardigan: black and brown are the most useful but a bright color is also great to own.

Of course you need shoes and jewelry but these are the other must haves. Again, this is a short post. Anything you would like to add? Tell us in the comments below.

Healthy Nails

Hey girls,

Do you want to grow out your nails faster, healthier, and stronger? Well, here is how. Everything you need to know about growing out your nails faster, stronger, and healthier is in this post. I decided to do this, because tons of people have problems with their nails growing, including me, until now.

Always keep a nail kit. This is easily transportable in a backpack, purse, car, etc.. It will help you out a lot. In your kit here are what you should keep.

  1. A cuticle pen- Your nail grows out from your cuticle, so if your cuticles are strong and healthy, it will help your nails grow faster and stronger. The two that I recommend are Sally Hansen Vitamin E 3-in-1 Cuticle Quencher Creme and Ruby Crystal Cuticle Pen.
  2. A calcium roll on/ pen- Your nails are made out of calcium. Applying calcium to your nails will help your nails absorb the calcium and become dramatically stronger/ thicker. The more calcium the better! I recommend Ruby Crystal Calcium Roll On.
  3. You always need to have a good quality nail thickener polish/ liquid- This helps you....... You guessed it...... Thicken your nails. I recommend using Sally Hansen Thicken Up Strengthening nail Thickener. You apply 1-2 coats to bare, dry nails, let fry, and apply a fresh coat every 3-4 days. After seven days you remove and repeat.
  4. Nail Clippers and a Nail File - Any pair and file will do. Helps keep your nails in shape.
  5. Hand/ nail cream- Gives your nails and hands vitamins that they need to grow happier, stronger, and healthier. I use Vaselines Hand and Nail Cream.
  6. Lastly keep a light shade of polish- This is just for keeping your nails looking pretty. I keep O.P.I's Got a date to-knight.
That is all you need. Also, make sure to drink lots of milk and exercise. Protein and blood flow is the key to growing your nails faster. Let me know what you keep in your nail kit in a blog post and leave the link to it in the comments. If you do not have a blog let me know what your favorite nail product is.
